Penguin City Brewing Co. on Tuesday welcomed Cockeye BBQ & Creamery to downtown Youngstown.
Cockeye BBQ, which has a location at 1805 1/2, Parkman Road NW, Warren, will open its second location in Penguin City’s taproom. Construction is underway, with a targeted opening date in November, a news release states.
“Words cannot express the excitement with this announcement,” Aspasia Lyras-Bernacki, co-owner of Penguin City, said in the release. “We wanted to bring something fun and different to the table to our taproom and downtown Youngstown. Cockeye BBQ & Creamery is a perfect fit, and the ice cream is icing on the cake.”
James Kinnick appointed to Oak Hill Collaborative board
James Kinnick, executive director of the Eastgate Regional Council of Governments, has been appointed to the Oak Hill Collaborative Board of Directors.
Kinnick is a civil engineer, a former region director at the Ohio Department of Transportation and an advocate for improved broadband infrastructure and digital equity and inclusion in the Mahoning Valley, a news release states.
