PM Modi to visit Mandi, HP, on Dec 27 to inaugurate projects worth ₹11 crore
Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Mandi, in Himachal Pradesh, on December 27 to celebrate the completion of four years of the state government there, chief minister Jairam Thakur said.
“We will inaugurate projects worth ₹11 crores, including the Dhaula Sidh hydropower project and Renukaji multipurpose project,” news agency ANI quoted the CM as saying.

‘Omicron cases in South Africa mostly mild’, says doctor who first detected variant
A top South African medical expert said that Omicron cases seem to be “mostly mild,” reports ANI.
“I have seen 100 patients myself. It’s quite transmissible. If I look at Delta, it seems less but it’s very transmissible. In South Africa we don’t see severe cases, it’s mostly mild cases,” South African Medical Association Chairperson Dr Angelique Coetzee, the first to detect Omicron, said.
